Belmont Golf Course features an 18-hole PGA championship golf course open daily to the public (weather permitting). The golf shop is open daily, and includes a snack bar/lounge area, meeting space, and a full-service pro shop. Tee-time reservations are required.
Belmont Golf Course, formerly the Hermitage Country Club, was designed in 1916 by Albert Warren Tillinghast, one of the best course architects of his time and later redesigned in 1927 by Donald Ross. In 1949, the course was host to the PGA Championship won by Sam Snead. Henrico County purchased the golf course, recreation center, and other buildings in 1976.
