Whether you are parking your vehicle here to begin your Virginia Capital Trail adventure or using it as a stop along your trip, the Dorey Park Trailhead offers a safe, accessible and truly unique recreational experience.
The 0.4-mile spur links the park’s main road to the Trail along a 10-foot wide asphalt connector. This trailhead also provides access to rest facilities and services at Dorey’s Recreation Center, about a mile farther north, near the park’s entrance. Once inside, be sure to check out our new Welcome Center offering a variety of maps and brochures, county and trail information and historical exhibits.
The Welcome Center is open seven days a week, April through October, from 8am to 4:30pm. (804) 652-1440.
